Ketogenic Diet

So i've recently started doing a modified ketogenic diet, the goal is to eat low carbs, moderate protein and high fats. The typical american diet is high in carbs and high in  fats, which means your body uses carbs for energy but stores it to fat. Your body  uses glucose as an energy source which is a biproduct of burning carbs. The ketogenic diet switches you from burning carbs to burning fat , from burning glucose to burning  ketones. The advantage is you don't store fat while burning ketones, you burn the fat that is already stored. I'm going to start uploading a few recipes , and i'll keep you all updated on weightloss! Also this diet works wonders for diabetics , like my dad, and can actually reverse a type 2 diabetic. It also starves out cancer cells, that feed off of glucose, and they can't survive on burning  ketones. So overall this is just an awesome diet, that will eventually turn into a lifestyle for me!

                                                           Pepperoni Pizza
Yes people this is a diet food!!!  The ingredients used are shredded mozzarella cheese , turkey pepperoni, Allesi all natural marinara sauce and the crust is "Lavash " by samis bakery which is located in Tampa,FL but they do ship all over the world. The lavash basically acts as a thin crust and it does get very crispy and tastes really good as well. I just put all the ingredients together like a normal pizza and baked it in my toaster oven at 350 degrees. There is only a total of 6 Carbs for this whole pizza! There's 21 g of protein, 19 g of fat , 12 g of fiber and only 356 calories. YUM!


Chicken Wings 
All I did for these chicken wing was seasoned them with 1 tbsp of chilli powder ,2 tbsp pepper, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp season salt, 1 tbsp garlic powder , 1 tbsp onion powder . I baked them in the conventional oven on an elevated rack at 400 for about 40 minutes. These have 18 g of protein , 20 g of fat, 250 calories and ZERO carbs! About 4 wings is a serving size , I also used a tbsp of buttermilk ranch which has 1 g of carbs , 8 g of fat and 75 calories. So yes you can still have all of your favorite football snacks, and I bet nobody will even notice that you're dieting because these are phenomenal!
